May was a bit of a ho-hum reading month for me. I read a total of eleven books for the month
but only one was a truly great (and surprisingly so!) read for me. I think June will be much better!
The History Major by Michael Phillip Cash: see my
review here
Crave by Jennifer Dawson: I read and loved book two
for this series so I went back and read #1.
It was good but I didn’t connect with the main characters as much in
this one so it was 3/5 stars for me.
Sugar Daddy by Sawyer Bennett: see my review here
The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey: YA dystopian novel that was very good-I will
definitely be reading the rest of the trilogy see where this goes. 4/5 stars
Accidentally Married by Cathy Winchester: Freebie
from Amazon-thank goodness! Parts of this were cute but it got too preach-y in
spots and I ended up skimming through just to finish it. 2/5 stars
The Air He Breathes by Brittainy Cherry: again,
another “just ok” for me book-lots of people online liked this story but I
found it cheesy in parts. 3/5 stars
Baller by Vi Keeland: This book! I thought this would be just
another sports smutty book but it was more-there were actual emotions! I wanted
to write and post a review for this one but just didn’t have the time. 4.5/5
stars
Forgive Me by Daniel Palmer: see my review here
Murder at Honeychurch Hall by Hannah Dennison: first
in a cozy mystery series-review coming soon
Get Lucky by Lila Monroe: see my review here
The Girls in the Garden by Lisa Jewell: see my
review here
Tricky Twenty-Two by Janet Evanovich: see my review here
I’ve already
finished my first book for June and it was awesome! I enjoyed it so much I am
having a hard time writing the review-how weird is that? I just want to make
sure I do it justice. Lots of stuff
coming up in June with (hopefully) so more cover reveals and sneak peeks!
